GRESTY BROOK SURGERY EXTENSION

WORK IS NOW WELL UNDERWAY ON THE EXTENSION AT OUR GRESTY BROOK SURGERY ON BROOKHOUSE DRIVE. THE DEVELOPMENT WILL TAKE ABOUT 9 MONTHS TO COMPLETE. WE WILL CONTINUE TO SEE PATIENTS THROUGHOUT THIS TIME ALTHOUGH WE WILL BE OPERATING FROM A PORTAKABIN FOR A LARGE PORTION OF THE BUILD. THE PHARMACY WILL REMAIN OPEN AS USUAL.WE ARE STILL TAKING NEW PATIENTS. PLANS OF THE NEW EXTENSION CAN BE SEEN IN THE SURGERY. THIS WILL BE AN OPPORTUNUITY TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP OUR LOCAL SERVICES. WE WANT TO BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND DEVELOP COOPERATION WITH LOCAL SERVICES, INCLUDING VOLUNTARY GROUPS.

ON-LINE APPOINTMENT BOOKING

If you have set up an account wih EMIS access the you can now book appointments at the surgery ON-LINE. Call us to set up you account.

EXTENDED HOURS

We are now offering additional appointments on Monday evenings (between 18:30 and 20:00) and Saturday mornings (between 0900 and 1200) These appointment slots can only be booked in advance. According to the government's requirements, emergency needs during these extended times will still have to be met by the GP Out of Hours service at Leighton.

SWINE FLU .

The Swine FLu pandemic service has now been stepped down. If you think that you may have flu then you must now contact the surgery direcetly. Tamiflu may still be prescribed under some circumstances but will now be obtained from local pharmacies only with a voucher fillled out by us.

For those who have trouble with reading the practice leaflet, there is now a version available on audio CD. If you could use this yourself or know of someone else in a similar situation, then copies can be obtained from reception at Grosvenor or Gresty Brook surgeries

WE ARE NOW A YELLOW FEVER CENTRE.

If you are travelling abroad and need to be vaccinated against yellow fever, it is now possible to achieve this at the practice. Simply make an appointment with our practice nurses who will be abe to take care of all your travel vaccination requirements.

THE PRACTICE IS NOW REGISTERING PATIENTS FROM THE WYCHWOOD PARK AREA.

Our branch surgery Gresty Brook Medical Centre is in the south of Crewe and very accessable from the Wychwood area of our extended practice boundary.
